Join our monthly Facebook Challenge!

Get ready! February Facebook Challenge:
Theme: "Party!" (any medium, no restrictions!)
(entries close at 6 pm on 28 February 2026)

How to enter:

 

  • Entries close at 6pm on last day of the month

  • No limit on entries

  • Any medium unless specified

  • All entries will be posted on our Facebook page with the winner heading the page

  • Entry to be in jpg form, and include your name if you give permission to publish online. Otherwise, the artist will be listed as ‘AGN member’ if name is not to be published

  • You could also bring your original to the club meeting on the Wednesday following for Show and Tell

  • No work can be older than 2 months old, so no old stuff. This is a challenge!

  • ​It would be good also if you could state your medium and give your work a title and anything else pertinent. This adds interest for members

  • Email your entries to karenloten@yahoo.co.nz by 6pm on the entry close date above

​I have been a member of the Art Group now  for about a year and oh my what a great bunch of artists, very friendly, welcoming and willing to share their knowledge with other members. Being [As far as i know] the only woodturner amongst  painting artists Ihave gained knowledge about what paints can be useful on my woodturning products. I enjoy the club nights and guest speakers and getting to know more of the art group members. I really enjoy  the show and Tell  as being the only woodturner  I think it is a different art form where I can use acrylic paint on wood.. I look forward to the spring and Queens garden exhibitions. I also recently joined the committee and look forward to being involved.
